Power Supply
With all audio products the power supply is a significant contributor to the success or failure of sound quality. With valves circuits this is even more so than anywhere else. With both our heater and anode power supplies we use discrete regulators. With our anode supply we achieve low noise (-100dBV) which is almost an 10 times better than other existing supplies. Its ouput impedance is 20 milli ohm across the entire audio band. two such power supplies are used one fo the left channel and one for the right.

Operating Circuit
With the signal path of our circuit we opted for DC coupling this is a truly unique feature because it eliminates capacitors and other coupling elements in the signal path which can cause distortions and resonances, this results in better sound quality.

Balanced Operation
To top it all off our valve circuit is balanced , this has two major benefits , firstly it is inherently lower in distortion than unbalanced circuits and secondly it allows you to transmit audio signals both on the printed circuit board or between two pieces of equipment with greater immunity to interference which degrades sound quality.

Construction
The Elektra preamplifier is painstakingly hand built using audiophile grade parts selected for their sonic excellence reliability and stability.

Elektra 7ch Power Amp

The Elektra Theatron 7 is a high performance 7 Channel power amplifier designed specifically for both Stereo Music and Home Theatre Audio reproduction.
The power supply plays a significant part sound quality. Starting with our transformers we use extensive electrical and magnetic shielding to keep radiated interference out. Along with this the transformer is potted in encapsulation to eliminate all mechanical vibrations. Our power supply capacitor are premium Audio Grade Nichicon capacitors which are selected for two reasons audio performance and reliability.
To eliminate the loading effects on preamps and Home Theatre Processors the input stage of the amplifier uses a matched JFET which have very high input impedance.
The signal path is direct coupled meaning there are no capacitors to degrade the sound quality.
The amplifier topology is unique in that the signal amplification is realised in the current domain and this achieves both excellent linearity and has greater immunity to power supply noise (PSSR) resulting in greater musical transparency and excellence in tonality.
The power output transistors are Ring Emitter Transistors (RET) and these devices have a 60Mhz bandwidth and lower distortion and this results excellent sound because they can produce a balanced sound across the audio range with tremendous amounts of power.
Massive 1800 watt power supply insures that each channel receives the appropriate voltage and current at all times, regardless of input signal or speaker load.
Each channel can deliver its rated 185Watts into 8 ohms and a peak power of 400 watts into 2 ohms to assure tremendous dynamic headroom for life-like soundtracks and special effect passages.
